Our Music

"O come, let us sing to the Lord; letus make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation."
Psalm 95 Verse 1:

Faith  Lutheran  has a talented congregation.  Many share their gifts of music with instrument and voice.

Vocal Choir

Faith Lutheran Vocal choir presently meets as scheduled, under the direction of Brad Kohler. It has been an ongoing organization since it was a group of six that met with members of United Church of Christ. Deanna Hoeppner was the original organizer, just as she was the original organizer for the Bell Choir. Since that time the size of the choir has varied and they have had a collection of directors including John Mundy, Jane Johnson, Jan Brunkow, and Brad Kohler. They haveperformed two Easter Cantatas and have added a festive touch to all major Church celebrations.  Accompanists for the vocalists have been Carol Prescher and Jan Brunkow. They make the most of the admonition, "Make a joyful Noise!"

Bell Choir

The ecumenical handbell choir was formed in 1994. The choir currently has 3 octaves of bells and 3 octaves of chimes. They perform throughout the community and welcome those who are interested to join.

The choir held its first community Christmas concert in December,
1996. The event included the handbell choir, vocal choir, vocal
and instrumental solos, duets and ensembles performed by individuals
throughout the community and surrounding area. Overwhelming
community response has made the concert an annual Christmas
tradition usually held on the last Sunday of Advent.

Children

Sunday school children also share their talents by occasionally
providing special music during worship services and  a special Christmas Service.
